The international monetary fund (IMF), the world bank and the world trade organization (WTO) 6, head of the three major international organizations called on the group of 20 (G20) leaders to take measures to promote trade integration to promote global economic growth.

The IMF managing director Christine lagarde, the world bank President Jim Yong Kim, and director-general of the WTO said in a joint statement on the same day, the G20 leaders should take decisive measures to further deepen trade integration, at the same time, cooperate with the domestic reform policies, which will help raise incomes, promoting global economic growth.

'the pace of opening up has largely stalled since the beginning of 2000,' the statement said. The old trade barriers have not been eliminated, new ones have been erected and policies to protect domestic industries have continued.

The statement called on countries to eliminate trade barriers and reduce subsidies and other protective measures against trade activities. In addition, the statement also called for countries to increase the workers and communities affected by the trade and technology help, such as providing them with employment training, employment support, skills training and other services, improve housing, credit and other policies at the same time, improve infrastructure, to improve workers' liquidity, etc.

In April, the three major international organizations jointly issued a report calling on economies to take measures to reduce the negative impact of trade and continue to promote global trade integration.

In its world economic outlook report, released in April, the IMF forecast that global trade would grow by 3.8 per cent this year and 3.9 per cent next year, up from 2016.

The theme of the 12th G20 leaders' summit, to be held on July 7 in Hamburg, northern Germany, is "shaping a interconnected world".
